Terms
Terms & conditions
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These are the rules for using EatWithLove.food. They are deliberately short and written to be read, not to be impressive. By browsing the site you accept them; if you do not, the site is not for you.
Using the site
The site is free to read. There is no account to create, no subscription, no paywall and nothing to buy. You may read, search, filter and follow the map as much as you like, and you may link to any page from anywhere.
The site is a guide, not an authority. Its limits — accuracy, travel, food safety and affiliation — are set out in full in theDisclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Copy the catalogue wholesale — extracting the entries in bulk, by scraper, bot or hand, to rebuild this database elsewhere or to republish it as your own.
- Feed it to a machine — using automated systems to harvest the content for training or fine-tuning a machine-learning model without written permission.
- Pose as us — presenting the site, its name or its entries in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor or are connected to you or your product.
- Break or overload it — probing, scanning, flooding, injecting or otherwise interfering with the site, or accessing it at a rate that degrades it for everyone else.
- Use it unlawfully — anything that breaks the law that applies to you, including scraping personal data from the site.
Quoting a paragraph, citing a place, screenshotting a page for a review or linking to an entry is welcome — attribution and a link are all we ask. If you want to do something the list above forbids, ask first: hello@eatwithlove.food.
Our content and other people’s
The writing, the selection of entries, the order they are presented in, the site design and the code that builds it belong to EatWithLove.food and are protected as such. You may not reproduce them wholesale or present them as your own work.
The underlying facts — an address, a set of coordinates, the fact that a host ate somewhere in an episode — are not owned by anyone, and this site claims no monopoly on them.
Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database License. Series names, host names, network names and venue names are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the episode or place being described.
If you believe something on this site infringes your rights — as an author, a photographer, a venue owner or a rights holder — write to us and it will be looked at promptly and removed where the complaint is justified.
Other services we link to
Entries link out to Google Maps, OpenStreetMap and occasionally to venues and sources. Those are other people’s services, under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or handling of your data.
What we do not promise
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment or non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or available at any particular time.
Details of places change. Anything you decide to do after reading this site — travelling, booking, ordering, eating, spending — you do on your own judgement and at your own risk. TheDisclaimer sets out the specifics.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EatWithLove.food is not liable for any loss of profit, loss of data, wasted expenditure, disappointment, or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, this site.
Because the site is free to use, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you have paid to use the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing here removes or reduces any mandatory right you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
Changes
Entries are added, revised and retired all the time, and the site itself may change, be reorganised or be taken offline. These terms may be updated to match; the date at the top of this page is the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the version published here.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are handled in the courts of Finland, without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim before the courts of your own country of residence, or to use a consumer dispute body available to you.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is set aside and the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce something on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
